Meet Amber

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost a decade of experience. I’m drawn to counseling because I genuinely appreciate getting to know people and their stories. Everyday I work as a therapist, I feel honored to connect with my clients and hold the complexities of these stories as we work together. Through our collaboration, I hope that over time clients will be able to reflect on and hold their own stories with compassion and understanding so they can fully accept themselves as they are – because that’s where the real growth begins. From there, we can work together on new skills that can help them find healing and peace and achieve their goals.

I’m an introvert and a firm believer in work/life balance. I often take space for myself to recharge so I can show up as the best version of myself for my clients. In my spare time I love to travel, read, listen to live music, and binge watch a new show (or a comfort one I’ve seen a million times already). I also never pass on an opportunity to slow down and spend time with people I love.

Education/Background

Prior to starting Space for You, I worked with Dr. Kristen Green at Chattahoochee Counseling & Psychology Services, where I counseled children, teenagers, and adults. Through this work, I developed a strong understanding of human growth and development which I find helpful in my work with people of all ages. I continue to work with Dr. Green and often refer to her office for psychological evaluations.

I am a proud alumni of the Brenau University Women’s College, where I studied both psychology and education and made lifelong personal and professional connections. I loved it so much I returned to Brenau’s graduate school to get my Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology.
